WAYNE – A week after dipping back into single digits, COVID-19 cases saw an increase while updated numbers were provided from the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department.
According to release from Wayne State College, the Monday, November 2 report had an increase of 10 in active positive cases now at 16.
Another seven individuals have returned to campus, now at 172 while there have been 188 overall positive cases reported since August 14.
College officials are continuing to ask everyone to follow all guidelines and requirements regarding the four pillars of hygiene, masks, social distancing and self-screening.

Health Officials with NNPHD reported another 94 overall COVID-19 cases from Saturday, October 31 until Monday, November 2. Of the 1,331 total positives, 823 have since recovered and there have been over 10,600 total cumulative negative tests.
Monday’s numbers also included new positives since last report/total positives/total number recovered for each county. Cedar (15/241/123); Dixon (15/200/137); Thurston (30/453/324) and Wayne (34/437/239).
