Action To Be Taken On Budget, Several Discussion Items Tabbed For School Board Agenda

WAYNE – A Budget and Tax Request will open the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education regularly scheduled meeting Monday at 5 p.m.

From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School Library, Room 407, board members are set to hold a public hearing pertaining to the 2018-19 proposed budget. A special hearing will also take place around 5:10 p.m. before entering into the regular agenda.

Under old business, the second reading will be heard for the Mission and Vision Statement.

Getting into new business, WCS Board of Education members will go over a notice for both the Budget Hearing/Summary and Set Final Tax Request.

Discussion will also be held on the  elementary boiler, a feasibility study for recreation and performing arts work group with Wayne State College, the City of Wayne and Wayne County as well as an inter-local agreement for facilities with WSC.

Superintendent, Mark Lenihan will address a Nebraska Education Partners Collaborate on Human Dignity statement, administrative structure, principal evaluation process, early childhood program and an enrollment summary. A drivers education report will also be given as well as other class enrollments.
