WAYNE – A longtime resident of northeast Nebraska and KTCH Radio in Wayne was recognized during a weekly chamber coffee event.
From the community room of Elkhorn Valley Bank, Dan Baddorf was honored with the congeniality award Friday morning.
KTCH/KCTY is in year 13 of ownership of David Kelly as he led the event following announcements from the chamber office.
Baddorf first came to Wayne in 1973 and started at the radio station two years after. Throughout his 45 years of employment at the radio station he sums it up as a lot of fun.
“It’s a privilege to be able serve Wayne America,” said Baddorf. “There’s a lot of good people in town. I’m very honored to be given a Congeniality Award. But, like I said there’s a lot of people that make Wayne what Wayne is. It’s a great place to live and I’m happy to be here.”
Galen Wiser nominated Baddorf for the second quarter Wayne Ambassadors Congeniality Award stating, “he is always pleasant and has a smile and a good sense of humor.” He went onto say, “we would be hard pressed to find a person who has dealings with Dan that did not come away with a smile.”
“When you’re in radio you kind of wonder is there’s anybody out there listening,” Baddorf added. “Yeah, I know there are. Like I said Wayne’s a very close community and we take care of each other and that’s what’s it’s all about.”
For a person or a business who would like to advertise with KTCH/KCTY/waynedailynews.com they would just need to email their contact information to email@example.com or call 402-375-3700.
Kelly mentioned there’s no pressure.
“Our whole objective in working with all of our clients is to analyze their need,” Kelly mentioned. “Try to understand their business and ultimately help them bring more customers through the door and increase sales.”
