Majestic Fundraiser Continues January 15 – 17 With Comedy ‘MOMologues’

WAYNE – As the Majestic Theatre in Wayne makes their final push of their capital campaign, a three-night performance will take place this weekend.

According to a release from Wayne State College, the comedy, “MOMologues: The Final Push,” will be presented as a fundraiser. The Majestic is located at 310 Main Street in Wayne as the MOMologues are scheduled for Friday, January 15 – Sunday, January 17.

MOMologues tells the hilarious stories of four separate moms as they experience the torment and terror of parenting teenagers. From the list of parenting fails, to the Seven Dwarves of puberty (Surly, Grumpy, Moody, Sulky, Secretive, Fresh and Spoiled) this play navigates the ups and downs of raising teenagers and letting them go in a way that is relatable to everyone.

The four moms are played by: Endia Casey Agoumba, author; Katie Wynia; Yasuko Taoka, Wayne State College Dean of Arts and Humanities; and Melissa Derechailo, Wayne State College Music Instructor.

Shows will be at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Seating for this show is on a first come, first served basis. For everyone’s safety, masks will be required and seating will be limited as well as socially distanced.

All shows are free will donation with all proceeds benefitting the Majestic Theatre. Johnnie Byrd Brewing Company will also offer their award-winning craft beer for purchase.
