Serenity School of Massage Therapy To Introduce Second Class During Chamber Coffee

WAYNE – Close out the month of September with Friday morning Chamber Coffee on September 25 at 10 a.m. from Serenity School of Massage Therapy.

Come for the Holly Cake or Grandma Joni’s peanut butter balls and hear more about the second class at the Serenity School of Massage Therapy. The massage service and massage therapist school is located at 120 West Second Street Suite #3 inside the Mid City Plaza.

Holly Doring is the owner and lead teacher at Serenity School of Massage Therapy. Last year’s class saw two students and this year also has another two students.

“I’m actually licensed for 12 but I don’t know that I would actually take that many just for space purposes,” said Doring. “I would probably cap it around 6 – 8. I had five interested and a couple backed out at the end but it’s working out good.”

This year’s two students will be introduced Friday morning as the two students graduated from the first class on August 9 passing their boards. The two found jobs in South Sioux City and Norfolk. The next round of classes, year three, will begin on August 16, 2021.

Contact the school at 402-833-1551 to make an appointment, like Serenity School of Massage Therapy on Facebook or visit their new website serenityschoolofmassage.com for more information.

Serenity School of Massage Therapy did shut down from March 17 until May 4 as their insurance company recommended that they close prior to the state closing them down.

“People were scheduling, they filled in the girl’s schedules,” Doring added. “We didn’t get behind at all and that’s just a testament to our community and how much they support us. So, that was really fantastic. But yeah, what a great response for our first year, we never had one night that they weren’t booked solid.”

The school already has a lot of safety protocols with cleansing. They have now upped that a little more by wiping down the light switches and door knobs along with still cleaning the tables and face pieces.

Again, Chamber Coffee will begin at 10 a.m. with the Facebook Live portion starting around 10:15 a.m. on the Wayne, NE Facebook page Friday.
