NNPHD Reports 21 Negative Tests, Just One COVID-19 Positive In Health District

WAYNE – Thurston county saw one more resident test positive for COVID-19 in the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District.

According to a release from NNPHD, the new patient brings the total in Thurston county up to 164. There were also 21 negative tests confirmed.

As of Wednesday evening, there have been 1,341 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests are 250 positive cases (Cedar – 11, Dixon – 49, Thurston – 164 and Wayne county – 26) and 1,045 negative tests. Also, five more residents have recovered bringing the total to 112.

NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
