Thurston County Residents Test Positive For COVID-19

WAYNE – A trio of Thurston county residents recently tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a release from the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department, the new confirmed cases are two females and one male in their 20s, 30s and 70s from Thurston county.

As of Wednesday evening, there have been 742 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests include 73 positive cases (Cedar – 6, Dixon – 27, Thurston – 34 and Wayne county – 6), 635 negatives and 34 tests currently pending results.

As far as any cases, when NNPHD releases someone from isolation the health department no longer follows them to see how they are doing as the report from the health department does not include number of hospitalizations or recoveries.
