WAYNE – Another round of blood drives have been scheduled for northeast Nebraska residents to roll up a sleeve and save local hospital patients this month.
According to a release from LifeServe Blood Center, they are urging donors to once again to get out and donate.
LifeServe is the sole provider of blood to more than 120 hospitals across Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota. In order to make sure their hospital patients’ needs are met, blood donors, whether first time or gallon level, are needed each and every day.
Later this month plan on visiting one of these blood drives:
Hartington Community Blood Drive: Monday, September 16 from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the VFW Hall (206 E Main Street).
Pender HS/Community Blood Drive: Tuesday, September 17 from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Pender HS (609 Whitney Street).
Fordyce Community Blood Drive: Saturday, September 21 from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Fordyce Fire Hall (209 West 2nd Street).
Wayne Community Blood Drive: Wednesday, September 25 from noon until 6 p.m. at the Wayne Fire Department (510 Tomar Drive).
Blood cannot be created in a lab and there’s no substitute available, so if a hospital in the LifeServe Blood area needs a transfusion, that blood comes directly from LifeServe Blood Center blood donors. Sign up to save a life today online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800-287-4903.
