Road Work North Of Tekamah, Signal Work In South Sioux Scheduled This Week

TEKAMAH/SOUTH SIOUX CITY – A pair of northeast Nebraska towns will see work to widening a road and signal work this week.

According to a release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, weather permitting work will begin on Tuesday, September 3 on US-75 north of Tekamah and at the intersection of US-77 and 29th Street in South Sioux City also Tuesday.

Work includes the widening of US-75, Tekamah six miles north and culvert replacement. Traffic will be maintained with intermittent lane closures and traffic signals as the anticipated completion is early fall of 2020.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near construction zones and to expect delays.

 

The signal in South Sioux will be down from 9 a.m. until approximately noon as traffic will be maintained using a 4-way stop Tuesday. NDOT asks drivers to please also use caution in approaching and crossing this intersection.
