Hwy 15 Salvage Previews September Classes During Chamber Coffee

WAYNE – With Main Street about to get even more popular with college back in session this month, community members joined Hwy 15 Salvage Company Friday morning.

The weekly chamber coffee event was held at 311 Main Street on August 16.

Co-owner of Hwy 15 Salvage Company, Teresa Tiedtke said starting Saturday’s in the fall they’ll have a make-an-offer trailer in the north alley.

“We’ll have stuff out there before it leaves and goes to probably the landfill or something in that sense,” said Tiedtke. “Because honestly we just can’t use all the pieces and do all the stuff that we would love to do, but we know there’s a lot of people out there who would appreciate and do those things.”

The store is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday – Saturday and closed Monday and Sunday. During the winter, Hwy 15 Salvage will close earlier.

Hwy 15 Salvage has a little something for everyone. Featuring antiques, restored and custom furniture, crafts, repurposed items and even classes.

Tiedtke added their summer class schedule slows down with everyone’s schedule.

“The fall here, it’ll start picking up,” Tiedtke added. “I’ll offer at least about four classes a month and then fill in with private group classes. So, you’re welcome to contact me and see about doing a private group class. You have to have at least six people to do the class.”

Sign up today for their September classes featuring porch signs, refunk your junk, barn quilt week and personalized lacy Susan.

Closing out Saturday, August 17 the entire store will offer 20% off specials with some exclusions during their customer appreciation.

Join another downtown business in Wayne who recently opened over the summer at The Table for the next Friday morning chamber coffee on August 23 at 10 a.m.
