WAYNE – Bring out the entire family to the Wayne Chapter of Izaak Walton League this weekend for a fishing derby.
The 2018 Ike’s Fishing Derby is slated for Saturday, June 16 from 9 a.m. – Noon. Prizes will be awarded in three categories.
Free registration will take place from 9 – 9:30 a.m. while the derby will start right after and last until 11 a.m. Fish tallies will be made until 11:30 a.m. and awards handed out between 11:30 a.m. and Noon.
Age categories for prizes include 2-6; 7-10 and 11-16.
Pending weather, a rain date is scheduled for Sunday, June 17 beginning at 1 p.m.
Directions to Izaak Walton League from Wayne: take HWY 15 north (four miles), turn west onto 860th Road and go two miles, turn north onto 574th Avenue for a half-mile and enter the driveway on the right side of the road.
