English Festival Set For April 10 On Wayne State Campus

WAYNE – Join Wayne State College celebrating the allure of words during the Sixth annual English Festival in early April.

According to a release from WSC Tuesday, words stir emotion, provoke thought and transport you to new destinations or across times. Scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, the festival will start at 7 p.m. and take place in the Humanities Lounge. The event is also open to the public.

Sponsored by the WSC Writing Club, the festival honors the WSC English Program and all things English. This year’s theme is “English is Weird.”

Activities include an open mic, a panel on slam performance, readings by students and faculty along with games, crafts, prizes, refreshments and a book giveaway. Festival attendees can bring books, exchange books, read at the open mic and participate in games and crafts.
