
WAYNE STATE BASEBALL RANKED 16TH IN PRESEASON DIVISION II BASEBALL WRITER’S POLL

The Wayne State College baseball team is ranked 16th in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 Preseason poll released Thursday. WSC received 179 points in voting conducted by baseball writers from across the country. Wayne State was 45-15 last season and won a sixth straight Northern Sun Conference Baseball title and advanced to the NCAA Division II National Tournament for a sixth straight season where the Wildcats reached the Central Region title game before falling to Mesa State. Wayne State is scheduled to open the 2010 season on Saturday, February 13 in Golden, Colorado where the Wildcats will play Nebraska-Kearney and Colorado School of Mines.
