Marilyn “Mary“ Murray, age 89, of Wayne

Funeral Services for Marilyn “Mary” Murray, of Wayne, will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Wayne on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.  Visitation will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Wayne on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until Service Time.  Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.  Memorials may be directed to the Murray family for later designation.  She passed away on Sunday at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne.  Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Marilyn B. “Mary” Murray was born September 19, 1928, at Page, to George and Venice (Hayne) Bressler.  She was baptized and confirmed.  Mary moved with her family to Wayne at a very young age and graduated from Wayne Prep High School in 1946. Mary was married to Raymond Murray November 27, 1948, at Stanton.  The couple lived in Wayne where she was employed at Wayne State College as a mail clerk for 27 years.  When she was younger, Mary was an avid bowler for many years.  Mary, Ray and their son, Rex loved to fish and take family vacations.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Wayne.
Mary is survived by her son, Rex Murray of Wayne; sisters, Jeannette Giese of Wayne and Suzanne Steckelberg of Elkhorn; brother-in-law, Lynn Schwier of Cherokee, IA;  step - brother, Harvey Miller of Montrose, CO; step-brother-in-law, Don Albrecht of  Sammarnish, WA;  nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond in 1996; brother, Franklin (Lucille) Bressler; sister, Donnabeth Schwier; brothers-in-law, Dennis Steckelberg and Wilbur Giese; step-sister, Helen  Albrecht; step-sister-in-law, Margaret Miller.
