Delores Winch, age 75, of Winside

Memorial Services for Del Winch, 75, of Winside, will be held at United Methodist Church in Winside on Friday at 2:00 p.m.  Memorial Visitation will be held at United Methodist Church in Winside on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with family present.  Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Winside.  She passed away on Friday at her home at Brookdale Wayne.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.  Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
Delores “Del” Jane Winch was born May 5, 1942, in Niobrara to Earl and Martha (Walton) Loney.  She attended school in Plainview and graduated in 1960.  Following high school, she moved to Norfolk to attended beauty school.  It was while living in Norfolk, she met her future husband, James (Jim) Winch.  They married May 6, 1962.  Over the years, the couple lived in Belgrade, Palmer, and finally Winside. Del worked at PAMIDA for many years before beginning a long career at Great Dane Trailers in Wayne.  She enjoyed traveling, shopping and spending time with family.

Del is survived by her daughter, Robyn (Scott) Hurlbert of Carroll; son, Rick Winch of Norfolk; grandchildren, Dustin (Sarah) Hurlbert of Lincoln, Joshua Hurlbert of Lincoln and Katlyn Hurlbert of Omaha; great-grandson, Ronin James Hurlbert; sisters, Francis Robinson of Fort Calhoon, and Pauline Hooks of Longview, TX; brother, Jerry (Janet) Loney of Grand Island; numerous nieces and nephews.

Del was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James in January 2011; grandson, Travis James Hurlbert; brother, Jim Loney; and sister, Norma Rae.

Del’s family appreciates your thoughts and kindness and invites you to lunch in the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
