Carol Topp age 76 of Pilger

Funeral services for Carol (Mrs. LeRoy) Topp age 76 of Pilger, NE will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pilger, NE. Interment will be in the Pilger Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Cooper Family Community Center in Pilger.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is handling the arrangements for the family.
Carol passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at St. Joseph's Rehabilitation and Care Center in Norfolk, NE.
Carol Lee Topp was born in rural Pierce Co., NE to John and Lois (Gardner) Kahny. She attended rural school District #98 near Creighton, NE through the 8th Grade. She moved to a farm near Winside and graduated from Winside High School in 1958.
On April 27, 1959, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Topp in Bonneville, ID. The couple made their home on a farm northwest of Pilger. Carol and LeRoy were a true partnership on the farm, working side by side in all aspects of the farm. She enjoyed being outdoors, mowing, gardening, making sure the farm place looked nice, and taking the kids fishing. Carol and LeRoy enjoyed going on tractor rides, jeep rides, going to stock car races and tractor pulls.
On April 27, 1959, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Topp in Idaho Falls, ID. The couple made their home on a farm northwest of Pilger.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, and a Thursday neighborhood coffee group.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, son-Gene, brother-Darrell Kahny, sisters- Lucille Schnoor and Joyce Sherman.
