Funeral Services for Phyllis Huetig, age 89, of Belden will be held at the Union Presbyterian Church in Belden on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Union Presbyterian Church in Belden on Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  Interment will be at the Belden Cemetery. She passed away Thursday at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. Memorials may be directed to the Huetig Family for later designation. Arrangements with Hasemann Funeral Home of Laurel.
Phyllis June Huetig, was born January 17, 1928, at her grandparent’s home in Randolph to Walter and Alice (Strom) Roland.  She attended country school near Randolph, attended Randolph Public School, and graduated from Belden High School. Phyllis married Walter Huetig January 24, 1947, in Dakota City.  They lived all of their married life in Belden.  Phyllis worked with her husband in their trucking business, various businesses in Randolph, and for many years was a certified nurse’s aide at Colonial Manor in Randolph. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, sewing, arts and crafts.  Most of all she loved her family and friends and was a lover of pets.  She was a member of the Union Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid in Belden, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
    Phyllis is survived by her children, Cathy Huetig of Belden and Douglas “Ted” (Dianna) Huetig of Randolph. 
    Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter in 2002; infant son, Charles Dale; and brother, Lowell Roland.
