LINCOLN – Five Huskers will miss the season opener against BYU due to suspension. Coach Mike Riley confirmed what was first reported by the Portland Tribune but refused to identify the players.

“But it was obviously a team violation”, said Riley. “We will be anxious to have those guys back on the field after that.”
Riley says he will probably release the names of the players involved before the game.
“Let me think about how to do that”, said Riley. “It will become obvious as the kickoff occurs.”
Riley also said on Thursday night that senior offensive tackle Givens Price has made the switch to defensive tackle. The native of Houston made the switch from guard to tackle in 2014 and appeared in 12 games while starting three.
