Wakefield Juniors And Seniors Split Against Tekamah-Herman

WAKEFIELD (KTCH/KCTY) - Wakefield hosted Tekamah-Herman in Juniors and Seniors competition last night. In the first game, the Wakefield Juniors used a three-run first inning to jump ahead 3-1.
They would add two more runs late, making the eventual final 5-2. Evan Nicholson pitched a complete game six-hitter claiming the win for Wakefield. He also hit one batter and struck out seven. Wakefield used variety on offense, as six different players recorded a base hit. The Wakefield Seniors struggled in their matchup, falling 8-2 to Tekamah-Herman. Michael Eaton took the loss on the mound, pitching four innings while allowing eight runs on 12 hits and two walks, striking out four. Jacob Nelson pitched three innings in relief, walking two and striking out two. Adam Drieling led at the plate for Wakefield, going 3-4 with three singles.
