Duane Lienemann, age 75

Duane D. Lienemann, age 75 of Hoskins, died Saturday May 12, 2012 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. He was born November 1, 1936 at Randolph, Nebraska the son of Bernhard “Ben” and Nora (Carstens) Lienemann.
Duane was baptized on November 29, 1936 at Hope Lutheran Church near Randolph and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Randolph; he attended District #68 Pierce County rural school and graduated from Randolph High School in 1954. He married Virginia Iler on February 16, 1955 at Randolph.
Duane farmed all of his life, spent 19 ½ years farming for Bill Willers; he owned and operated Dad’s Place in Hoskins from 1978 to 1999. Duane married Karmon Frahm on August 11, 1987 at Yankton, South Dakota. He farmed north of Hoskins until he became ill in January 2012. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Norfolk; an Emeritus Director of Nebraska Licensed Beverage Association; also involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Norfolk. Duane was a John Deere enthusiast; loved visiting his family and friends; playing cards especially Texas Hold’em and poker; enjoyed horses.
Duane is survived by his wife of 24 years Karmon Lienemann of Hoskins; 3 Children Ed and Laurie Lienemann of Hoskins; Dwight Lienemann of Hoskins; Lori and Jon Schulte of Bellwood; 2 Stepsons Shane Frahm of Winside and Brady Frahm and Special Friend Shontelle Tweedy of Winside; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 10 Step Grandchildren; 3 Sisters Delma Ronspies of Pierce; Sharon and Roger Borst of Randolph; Connie and Lavern Scott of Randolph; 1 Brother Jerry and Jo Lienemann of Fergus Falls, MN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers-in-law Willard Brummels and Eugene Ronspies.
