Reilly joins the Cowboys’ practice squad after the team made a couple roster moves Tuesday to account for the injury to receiver Allen Hurns. Dallas reportedly elevated Lance Lenoir to the active roster, freeing a spot for Reilly.
He’ll become the fourth former Husker on the Cowboys, joining Maliek Collins, Randy Gregory and Brett Maher — all of whom are on the active roster. He’d also be the eighth ex-Nebraska player on rosters of teams still alive in the playoffs.
Dallas — which beat Seattle on Saturday — will face the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
Reilly went undrafted in 2017 but landed on the Buffalo Bills’ practice squad, eventually getting promoted to the active roster before the end of that season. Reilly was cut by the Bills before the start of the 2018 season, then spent some time on the Detroit Lions’ practice squad late in the year.
