Memorial Day Flag Setup

The Wayne Veterans Group will be setting up flags and poles for the Memorial Day Ceremony at Greenwood Cemetary from 6pm. Any volunteer is welcome. In case of inclement weather, flag set-up will occur tomorrow (Friday) at the same time.

Single Wheelers Dance Club of Norfolk will host their 30th Annual Memorial Weekend Square Dance on Saturday and Sunday. The event will be hosted in Norfolk. Registration begins at 9:00am on Saturday, and 9:30am on Sunday. Dancing begins at 10:00. The 2013 Memorial Day Program at the St. Anne's Cemetery (one-half mile east of the main street of Dixon) will be held at 2:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and arrive by 2:15 p.m. In the event of significant rain falling at the time of the service, the service will be held at St. Anne's Parish Hall in Dixon.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m., Veterans' graves in four community cemeteries will be decorated and Military rites will be conducted. Memorial Day dinner will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Coleridge Community Center.

Carroll United Methodist Church will be holding their annual Memorial Day Dinner from 11 am until 1pm. This home cooked meal includes: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, baked beans, salad bar, homemade rolls and pies. The cost for adults is $8.00 and children are only $4.00.
