Falls City Sacred Heart Rolls into D2 Quarters

RANDOLPH – They may have ended up the 5-seed in the Class D2 east bracket, and they may only have three seniors, but there be no doubt, Falls City Sacred Heart is built for another championship run.

The Irish showed that Wednesday, jumping out to a 38-0 lead over Randolph and not looking back in a 60-22 win.

FCSH outgained Randolph in the first half 369 yards to 62. They also turned Randolph over three times, a feat made all the more impressive by the fact that the Cardinals had turned the ball over just eight times all season prior to Wednesday.

Randolph is eliminated from the post-season in the 2nd round for the third straight year, while the Irish advance to the quarterfinal round for the 7th straight season. They’ll host No. 1 Humphrey St. Francis at Jug Brown Stadium at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
