NNPHD COVID-19 Weekly Report Ending September 25

WAYNE – For the week ending on Saturday, September 25 the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District had another 25 individuals recover from COVID-19 with now 46.02% of the District fully vaccinated.

According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 326, which was an increase of 81 from week ending September 18. The positivity percent rate fell from 10.78% to 10.28% in a week. The 326 total is a high transmission level according to NNPHD.

The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

Testing rose from 696 to 973 with 100 tests coming back positive this past week. An increase of 12 active cases now brings the total to 281. Of the overall 45,243 tests reported, 4,445 have tested positive.

The active hospitalization category rose from two to three for a total of 240 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths rose by one to 57.
