According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 160, which was an increase of 13 from week ending September 4. The positivity rate percent fell for a second straight week from 8.7% to 5.58% in a week. Both weeks in September have seen a high transmission level.

The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

Testing rose for a second straight week from 517 to 878 with 49 tests coming back positive this past week. An increase of 30 active cases now brings the total to 147. Of the overall 43,469 tests reported, 4,268 have tested positive.

The active hospitalization category rose from one to two for a total of 236 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths remained at 56.
