NNPHD COVID-19 Weekly Report Ending November 27, County-Level Data Shared

WAYNE – For the week ending on Saturday, November 27 the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District had another 94 individuals recover from COVID-19 with the District remaining at 49.13% of being fully vaccinated.

According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 225, which saw a decrease of 52 from week ending November 20. The positivity percent rate fell from 13.98% to 13.27% this week. The 225 total is considered a high transmission level according to NNPHD which is 100 or more cases per 100,000. Substantial is between 50 – 99.99; moderate is 10 – 49.99 and low transmission is considered less than 10.

The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

Testing fell from 608 to 520 with 69 tests coming back positive this past week. A decrease in active cases by 24 now brings the total to 386. Of the overall 51,879 tests reported, 5,309 have tested positive.

The active hospitalization category fell from seven to four for a total of 282 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths remained at 68.
