NNPHD COVID-19 Weekly Report Ending November 20, County-Level Data Shared

WAYNE – For the week ending on Saturday, November 20 the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District had another 40 individuals recover from COVID-19 with now 49.13% of the District being fully vaccinated.

According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 277, which saw a decrease of 56 from week ending November 13. The positivity percent rate fell from 17.59% to 13.98% this week. The 277 total is considered a high transmission level according to NNPHD which is 100 or more cases per 100,000. Substantial is between 50 – 99.99; moderate is 10 – 49.99 and low transmission is considered less than 10.

The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

NNPHD continues to review and update their data to provide you with the most current and accurate information. Due to a delay in reporting to NNPHD, note there are four additional cases reported earlier this week in the “Total Positive Cases” column. These people are outside of their infectious period.

Testing rose from 580 to 608 with 85 tests coming back positive this past week. An increase in active cases by 50 now brings the total to 410. Of the overall 51,322 tests reported, 5,239 have tested positive.

The active hospitalization category remained at seven for a total of 280 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths remained at 68.
