WAYNE – For the week ending on Saturday, November 13 the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District had another 117 individuals recover from COVID-19 with now 49.07% of the District being fully vaccinated.
According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 333, which saw a decrease of 68 from week ending November 6. The positivity percent rate remained higher from 28.71% last week to 17.59% this week. The 333 total is considered a high transmission level according to NNPHD which is 100 or more cases per 100,000. Substantial is between 50 – 99.99; moderate is 10 – 49.99 and low transmission is considered less than 10.
The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

The group continues to review and update their data to provide you with the most current and accurate information. Due to a delay in reporting to NNPHD, note there are 23 additional cases that were reported this past weekend in the “Total Positive Cases” column. These people are outside of their infectious period.
Testing rose from 425 to 580 with 102 tests coming back positive this past week. An increase in active cases by five now brings the total to 360. Of the overall 50,567 tests reported, 5,149 have tested positive.
The active hospitalization category rose by one to seven for a total of 273 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths rose by two to now sit at 68.
