NNPHD COVID-19 Weekly Report Ending December 4, County-Level Data Shared

WAYNE – For the week ending on Saturday, December 4 the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District had another 87 individuals recover from COVID-19 with the District remaining at 49.13% of being fully vaccinated.

According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 193, which saw a decrease of 532 from week ending November 207. The positivity percent rate fell from 13.27% to 10.30% this week. The 193 total is considered a high transmission level according to NNPHD which is 100 or more cases per 100,000. Substantial is between 50 – 99.99; moderate is 10 – 49.99 and low transmission is considered less than 10.

The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

NNPHD also continues to review and update their data to provide you with the most current and accurate information. Due to a delay in reporting to NNPHD, 11 additional COVID-19 hospitalizations were added to total hospitalizations. None of these 11 individuals are currently hospitalized.

Testing rose slightly from 520 to 573 with 59 tests coming back positive this past week. A decrease in active cases by 30 now brings the total to 356. Of the overall 52,751 tests reported, 5,366 have tested positive.

The active hospitalization category rose from four to six for a total of 297 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths remained at 68.
