NNPHD COVID-19 Weekly Report Ending December 11, County-Level Data Shared

WAYNE – For the week ending on Saturday, December 11 the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District had another 130 individuals recover from COVID-19 with the District now at 49.79% being fully vaccinated.

According to a release from NNPHD, cases per 100,000 for a seven-day reporting period were listed at 261, which saw an increase of 68 from week ending December 4. The positivity percent rate fell from 10.30% to 8.45% this week. The 261 total is considered a high transmission level according to NNPHD which is 100 or more cases per 100,000. Substantial is between 50 – 99.99; moderate is 10 – 49.99 and low transmission is considered less than 10.

The Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District is made up of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties.

NNPHD officials were permitted to share county-level data this past week, which can be found below.

Testing rose from 573 to 947 with 80 tests coming back positive this past week. A decrease in active cases by 51 now brings the total to 305. Of the overall 53,722 tests reported, 5,446 have tested positive.

The active hospitalization category was at zero this past week for a total of 299 hospitalizations. COVID-19 related deaths rose by one now at 69.
