WAYNE – Moving into the weekend, COVID-19 testing results through Friday, March 5 were reported by officials with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department.
According to a release from NNPHD, there were seven new COVID-19 positives.
Of the 3,741 total positives, 3,530 have since recovered and there have been over 27,500 total cumulative negatives and nearly 31,500 total tests reported for the NNPHD Health District.
Friday’s report also included new positives since last report/total positives/total number recovered for each county in the health district. Cedar (0/909/867); Dixon (2/644/604); Thurston (4/1,115/1,058) and Wayne (1/1,073/1,001).
Also, as of Wednesday, March 3, 7,120 total vaccinations have been administered to residents of the NNPHD Health District. That also included 4,999 (17.7%) of eligible people vaccinated with the first dose and 2,121 (8.96%) of eligible people vaccinated with both doses. The Health District is also in the process of transitioning from 65+ to the 1B infrastructure groups.
