WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Peoples Convoy, reportedly upwards of 10-thousand strong, continue to base at the Speedway in Hagerstown, MD. The convoy made 2 passes along the Washington, D.C. beltway on Sunday and scheduled additional beltway drives for Monday.
The Peoples Convoy, inspired by Canadian truckers who drove cross country to Ottawa last month, originated in California a week ago with other truckers from across the U.S. joining the group enroute to D.C.
Back in Canada today, a Canadian Judge ordered Freedom Convoy fundraiser and organizer Tamara Lich to be released on bail, overturning a previous judge’s decision to keep her in custody. And more Canadians returned to Ottawa, forming a human chain around parliament in solidarity with the organizers and participants of the column, who are still in prison after Trudeau declared martial law in the country, arrested protesters and confiscated and froze their bank accounts.
Elsewhere around the globe, Covid-19 protests were held in the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France. And in Serbia, protesters were also rallying in Belgrade in support of Russia.
